Peru's ruling party presidential candidate quits race

Harsh criticism of her lack of political experience led Peru's ruling party presidential candidate to withdraw from the race, a party official said Saturday.

"She was harshly criticized by members of the party, who argued that she was inexperienced in politics," said Carlos Bruce, who had been set to run as Enmanuel's vice president, during an interview with RPP radio.
