Tropical storm Delta continues a record-breaking hurricane season

Tropical Storm Delta weakened slightly Friday in the central Atlantic and posed no threat to land, forecasters said.

Delta, the 25th named storm of the most active &to=http://english.pravda.ru/accidents/21/97/385/16193_Rita.html' target=_blank>Atlantic hurricane season on record, had top sustained winds near 65 mph, down from 70 mph Thursday night, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida. The large storm had tropical storm-force winds stretching about 370 miles across.

At 4 a.m. EDT, Delta was centered about 1,225 miles southwest of the Azores Islands and moving slowly to the south near 3 mph. Reports CNN.
