Ukraine's Yushchenko in Paris to strengthen ties with EU
Ukraine's President &to=http://english.pravda.ru/cis/2001/04/27/4354.html' target=_blank>Viktor Yushchenko met with French leader Jacques Chirac on Wednesday in talks aimed at strengthening ties with the European Union and attracting investment into the ex-Soviet republic.
Chirac stressed a "potential for increased cooperation" between the two countries in the areas of energy, port infrastructures in Ukraine and agriculture, said his spokesman, Jerome Bonnafont.
