Czech Republic: two Dutch nationals accused with promoting Nazism

Czech police are investigating two Dutch nationals suspected of promoting Nazism. Police spokeswoman Ludmila Knopova said the two men, age 25 and 40, were detained on Saturday as they were traveling to a concert in Zlata Olesnice, 160 kilometers (100 miles) northeast of Prague.

Police halted the concert, attended by about 140 skinheads, shortly before midnight Saturday because of racist lyrics of some of the songs. One Czech participant of the concert has already been accused of promoting Nazism and inciting racial hatred, the AP reports.

Knopova said the two Dutch citizens were detained near the restaurant where the concert was held after police found CDs, T-shirts, badges and printed material with racist symbols in their cars.

She said the men, who have already been released, face up to three years in prison if convicted. A.M.
