U.S. diplomat says Iraq constitution was probably approved

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Sunday that Iraqi voters have probably approved a constitution.

"We'll see, but that's the general assessment that it has probably passed," the top U.S. diplomat said, adding her information came from "people on the ground who are trying to do the numbers, trying to look at where the votes are coming from and so forth."

She stressed, however, that she does not know the outcome for certain, AP reports.
