Czech Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek has dismissed Health Care Minister Milada Emmerova, a government spokeswoman said Wednesday.
Emmerova, a member of Paroubek's Social Democratic Party, has been repeatedly criticized for an emerging crisis in the country's health care system, but the prime minister has backed her until now, the AP reports.
Paroubek plans to find a new minister within the next 10 days, spokeswoman Lucie Orgonikova said.
President Vaclav Klaus, who dismissed Emmerova at Paroubek's request Wednesday, asked Labor Minister Zdenek Skromach to head the ministry until a new health care minister is appointed, his office said. A.M.
