U.S.A.: Al Gore 'has absolutely no plans' to run for president again

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, who lost the presidential election to George W. Bush in 2000, said Wednesday he had no intention of ever running for president again.

However, he did not completely shut the door to political endeavors. "I don't completely rule out some future interest, but I don't expect to have that," Gore said.

He declined to comment on New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's possible run for the White House, but said he thinks the United States is ready for a female president.

Gore, who now runs a cable TV channel that uses user-generated material and is the chairman of an investment company, said he would continue speaking out on politics. A.M.
