Indonesia sends 12 tons of food, medical supplies to Pakistan

Indonesia sent 12 tons of food, medical supplies, and other relief to Pakistan on Wednesday for victims of a devastating earthquake that killed tens of thousands of people.

Arifin Badri, the head of Indonesia's relief mission, said a C-130 Hercules loaded with 50 military tents, 5,000 blankets, instant noodles, biscuits and medical supplies was heading to the quake-stricken region.

The 7.6-magnitude quake on Saturday killed more than 35,000 people in South Asia. Millions were left homeless after whole communities were flattened in the region touching Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, reports the AP. I.L.
