Turkey approves EU framework document

Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul approved an EU framework document and is preparing to depart for Luxembourg to open EU accession talks, Turkish media reported.

Gul's approval came after a meeting in Ankara with top ministers, private CNN-Turk television and NTV television reported. Gul's approval would open the way for Turkey's decades-old EU bid to continue after two days of tense talks in Luxembourg, the AP reports. AM
