A Jewish cemetery has been desecrated in the south of the Czech Republic, police said Monday.
Swastikas were sprayed over seven tombstones at the Jewish cemetery in the village of Velky Pecin, 150 kilometers (93 miles) southeast of Prague, sometime between Sept.9 and Sept. 23, police spokesman Jaroslav Beran said, according to the AP.
He said the cemetery, which dates back to the 17th century and is no longer used for burials, is located in a forest outside the village.
