Suicide bombing suspect returns to Britain

Attempted suicide bombing suspect Hussain Osman will be returned to Britain from Italy on Thursday.

Osman is accused of trying to blow up a Tube train at Shepherd's Bush, west London.

He is said to have made the attempt on July 21, the same day as three other failed attacks in the capital.

A week later the 27-year-old was arrested in Rome, where judges agreed to an extradition request by Britain.

Osman, also known as Hamdi Isaac, lost an appeal against the decision last Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for the Crown Prosecution Service said he will be arrested as soon as he sets foot in Britain.

Three other alleged would-be suicide bombers have already been charged over the failed bombings.

They are accused of conspiracy to murder; making or possessing an explosive with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury on July 21.

The trio were remanded in custody until their next court appearance at the Old Bailey on November 14, Sky News reports.
