First-ever agreement reached on North Korean nuclear talks

Negotiators at North Korea nuclear weapons program cessation talks reached their first-ever agreement Monday, unanimously accepting a joint statement, the Chinese envoy said.

"This is the most important result since the six-party talks started more than two years ago," said Wu Dawei, Chinese vice foreign minister.

No details of the statement by the six countries at the talks were immediately available, reports the AP.
