Jihad leader will fight until Gaza Strip has no Israeli soldier

An Islamic Jihad leader warned on Tuesday that they will continue armed operations against Israel if the latter turns the Gaza Strip into a big prison after the unilateral disengagement.

In case one Israeli soldier remains at Rafah crossing, on the borders with Egypt, after the Israeli withdrawal and Gaza turns into a big jail, the armed operations will resume, Mohammed Al-Hindi told reporters in Gaza city.

He added that only after the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip is complete and comprehensive, Jihad will discuss the issue of participating in the Palestinian legislative election, Xinhua informs.

The Palestinian legislative election is set to be held on Jan.25, 2006 in line with a presidential decree issued by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.
