Zambian terror suspect on the way to Britain

Zambian Haroon Rashid - a man wanted by British authorities in connection with July 7 London bombings - will be deported to the U.K.

British and American investigators have interrogated Haroon Rashid Aswat in Zambia and have agreed that he should be deported to Britain, President Levy Mwanawasa said. No date for the deportation was given, the AP reports.

"I would like to confirm that we have arrested Aswat, who has been held on violating the immigration laws of Zambia. Once we were holding him, we realized he was an alleged terrorist. It was agreed between the American and British governments that he should be deported to the United Kingdom," Mwanawasa told a news conference.
