Jacko: new accusation spoilt the father’s birthday

Michael Jackson has been again (and again!) accused of sexual assault on an 18-year-old during the 1984 World's Fair. The singer failed to appear for the preliminary hearing in court on Wednesday, and refused to come to his father's birthday.

According to All headline news, Wednesday's hearing was intended for Jackson to show he had legal representation.

Jackson family spokesman Brian Oxman did not give an explanation as to the absence of the King of Pop, but assured it would be taken care of, adding that the allegations against the singer were false and the lawsuit was another example of the Jackson's wealth and celebrity being taken advantage of.

Oxman said it probably was "an administrative problem that occurs in a big organization," Reuters informs. "Michael Jackson has had many such lawsuits and each one has resulted in him being exonerated or the case being dismissed," he said. "This is part of the magic and burden of being Michael Jackson."

But there is also another point of view on the case, that of the accuser.

As Reuters says, Joseph Bartucci claims he was lured into Jackson's limousine during a trip to the 1984 World's Fair and sexually assaulted and battered while held against his will for several days.

Bartucci, 18 at the time of the alleged assault, has said his memories of the events were suppressed until two years ago, when news coverage of child molestation charges against Jackson in California revived them.

All these misfortunes happened at the edge of Jackson’s father birthday.

As Scotland on Sunday informs, Michael Jackson said he would not be able to attend his father's birthday party in Berlin, but wished his father "Happy Birthday," according to a statement posted on his official website.

Speculation has been swirling regarding whether Jackson would attend his father's 76th birthday bash, to be held at Berlin's Estre Hotel.

The statement said Jackson extended his "sincere regrets that he will be unable to attend the Victory/Birthday Party, hosted by his father, Joseph Jackson."

No wonder the singer refused to go to his father’s birthday party: after the accusation some time should pass before "the Star recovers."

Is it a new black stripe in Michael’s life after the white one? We suppose the stars, no matter how famous and wealthy they are, are also subjected to ordinary life luckiness and misfortunes.
