The building, one of two cultural centers to be built on the site, will house the visitor's center for the World Trade Center memorial and two museums, the International Freedom Center and the Drawing Center.

The 16-acre site is to become home to the memorial, the cultural complex, a transportation hub and several office buildings, including a 1,776-foot tall tower dubbed the Freedom Tower, reports ABC News.

Trump called a planned iconic 1,776-foot Freedom Tower a disgrace and said if he were in charge, the rebuilding would have already begun.

He also wanted the designers of the WTC site to be fired because their plan "looks like a junk yard, a series of broken-down angles that don't match each other."

Trump suggested that he would show off the design during the season finale of the hit show "The Apprentice," to be aired Thursday night on NBC.
