Swiss police on Monday denied that three armed intruders who earlier forced their way into the &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/world/2001/10/26/19240.html' target=_blank>Spanish consulate in the Swiss capital Bern had left the building.
Despite police orders to leave, the three were still inside the building at the end of the morning, they said.
It contradicts a statement by a &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/diplomatic/2003/02/18/43446.html ' target=_blank>Spanish foreign ministry spokesman that the three had left the building in Bern's Kirchenfeld district. Local police in the capital confirmed in a written statement that three people armed with a knife and a firearm were still inside, says Channel News Asia.
