Yukos would like US court to grant it bankruptcy protection

Yukos filed for voluntary bankruptcy on Wednesday in a US district court in Houston, Texas, and petitioned for an injunction to prevent Russian authorities from proceeding with Sunday's fire-sale of Yuganskneftegaz.
