Al-Zarqawi challenges America to tell the truth

"O heroes of Islam in Fallujah: blessed be your holy war ... wait another hour and you will harvest results, God willing," said the voice attributed to Zarqawi, the &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/mailbox/22/98/386/14460_Letter.html ' target=_blank>United States` number one enemy in Iraq whom US forces are hunting during their offensive in Fallujah.

"We can no longer doubt that the signs of victory are beginning to appear on the horizon.

"Your sons are creating one of the best epics in the conflict with America and its allies," the recording said, labelled a "call" by Zarqawi to the Islamic nation.

"I challenge &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/main/2002/08/29/35565.html ' target=_blank>America to tell the truth about what is happening on the battle field. And I also challenge them to allow satellite television channels to enter (Fallujah) to cover the fighting", as Turkish Press reported.

According To the CTV News, Al-Zarqawi's followers have beheaded at least six hostages: three Americans, a Briton, a Japanese and a South Korean. As well, his group, al Qaeda in Iraq, has also been blamed for numerous suicide bombings.

The United States has posted a $25 million reward for his capture or his killing.

The link to the five-minute tape was posted by an individual who signed himself Abu Maysarah al-Iraqi, known as the media coordinator of al-Zarqawi's group.
