Bush hosts cabinet meeting

The goals, which he mentioned yesterday during his victory speech, include simplifying the tax code and allowing younger workers to invest some of their Social Security money in the stock market, informs WKBN/WYFX-TV.

Bush's cabinet saw remarkably few changes in the first term, the most dramatic being the firing of Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, who worried about the impact of tax cuts on the deficit. He was replaced by John Snow.

Given the pressures, long hours and the lure of the private sector, some resignations can be expected. The historic average is about three-quarters of the 20 cabinet jobs, according to respected Washington magazine National Journal.
