Woman tried to extort money from Celine Dions hubby
Yun Kyeong Kwon Sung – the woman at the centre of sexual-assault allegations against René Angelil, the husband of singer &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/fun/2002/11/22/39853.html ' target=_blank>Celine Dion – has been found guilty of trying to extort money from the couple.
A Clark County District Court jury delivered the verdict on Thursday after five hours of deliberations.
Sung faces probation or up to 16 years in state &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/fun/2002/10/16/38240.html ' target=_blank>prison for threatening to go public with a rape allegation against Angelil. She will be sentenced Dec. 16, says CBC News.
A prosecutor had portrayed Sung as a greedy woman who reneged on a $2-million US confidentiality agreement reached after alleging she was fondled in March 2000 by Dion's husband, Rene Angelil.
