Interpol can detain former Ukrainian Deputy PM

The Central Bureau of Interpol in Russia has received all necessary documents for carrying out an international search for former Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, a source with law enforcement agencies told RBC. This means that at present, Interpol has all the grounds for detaining Timoshenko, who is on the international wanted list, in any member state of the Interpol system.

As reported earlier, on September 23, 2004, Chief Military Prosecutor's Office of Russia put Timoshenko on its wanted list.
