7th Russian Economic Forum ends in London

The seventh annual Russian Economic Forum wound up its work yesterday in London. Leading Russian and Western business people had come together here beginning Sunday to discuss Russia's economic progress and outlook. The forum was held in this city's historic center, not far from Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

Participants included members of the Russian cabinet-Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin and Trade and Economic Development Minister German Gref-as well as Anatoly Chubais, the head of United Energy Systems Russia, Andrey Kostin, who heads Foreign Trade Bank, Igor Jurgens, head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergey Bogdanchikov, who heads Rosneft, Boris Fyodorov, a member of the board of Gazprom, Aleksey Mordashov, the head of Severstal, and others. The Russian delegation also included Valery Gergiyev, the artistic director of the Mariinsky Theater and other representatives of Russia's non-economic professions.
