Georgia acts to freeze accounts of Adjaria's government
Georgia has moved to cut off all banking operations in Adjaria. Irakly Managadze, president of the National Bank of Georgia, told reporters Tuesday that he has called in the license of the Marine Bank of Adjaria, which handles all financial matters for the government of Adjaria, a Rosbalt correspondent reported. All bank accounts with ties to the Adjarian leadership also have been frozen, he said.
