'Russia has made a big mistake by trying to solve its problems on Qatari territory and now it has made another by arresting two of our citizens,' the Al-Sharq newspaper reports. 'Moscow has clearly underestimated the Qatari security forces' ability to identify those responsible for the death of Yandarbiev,' the article ran.
The journalist wrote that Russia had lost its calm in the face of media coverage claiming Russian special agents had been involved in the death of the former Chechen leader. According to the Qatari press, Russian security forces have not arrested two terrorists but two sportsmen who were traveling from Belarus to Serbia via Moscow.
The two Qatari citizens were arrested at Moscow airport and are accused of having links with terrorist organizations.
