North Korea not to give up peaceful nuclear program

North Korea is not going to give up its nuclear program in the peaceful sphere, North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Gye-gwan told a press conference in Beijing. He was heading the North Korean delegation at the six-sided talks in Beijing.

Kim Gye-gwan denied that Pyongyang has a uranium-enrichment program. "We have neither equipment nor experts bearing any relation to the uranium-enrichment technology," the diplomat said.

Speaking about the recent statements by Abdul Qadeer Khan, the founder of Pakistan's nuclear program, Kim Gye-gwan said that North Korea and Pakistan are developing relations in different spheres and acknowledged their missile technologies trade for the sake of hard money. However, these relations have nothing to do with uranium enrichment, the North Korean diplomat stressed.
