USA and Ukraine to discuss building Eurasian oil transportation route

On January 29 and 30, a Ukrainian-US task force will be discussing the creation of the Eurasian oil transportation route based on the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline. As reported earlier, the route is intended for supplying Caspian oil to Europe.

On January 16, the Ukrainian oil transportation company Ukrtransnafta and its Polish counterpart Przyjazn S.A. (PERN) signed an agreement on starting preparations for the joint implementation of an international project that envisages prolonging the Odessa-Brody pipeline to Poland. Under the agreement, the sides shall establish a joint venture to be in charge of completing the construction of the oil pipeline and attracting foreign investments necessary for the implementation of the project.
