Georgian Minister warns of attempts to destabilize situation in country

Georgy Baramidze, Georgian Minister of the Interior warned on Saturday that in the next few days attempts could be made to destabilize the situation in the country.

According to him, "separate groups of armed people intend to stage actions to destabilize the situation in the country." The minister stressed that those groups had nothing to do with the regular army or interior troops of Georgia.

The Georgian minister reported that the Ministry of the Interior planned to undertake "specific actions to curb intentions of those people." On Saturday morning an explosion took place in the building of the labor party in Tbilisi. There were no casualties, the building suffered minor damages. Explosion organizers have not established yet.
