Tehran praises Russia's role in settling Iran-IAEA crisis

Iran Foreign Minister Kamal Harrazi praised Russia, Germany, France and Britain for their role in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Council of Governors' endorsement of the resolution on Iranian nuclear programs.

On Friday, the Iranian foreign ministry press service reported Harrazi said Russia and the three European countries that supported the political initiatives, played an essential role in the adoption of the document. This showed that U.S. and European policy toward Iran are different, Harrazi said.

The Iranian foreign minister called the resolution adopted by the IAEA Council of Governors "a victory of policy of dialogue over pressure exerted against the Islamic Republic." Harrazi also said Iran was ready to cooperate with the countries that assisted it in improving its relations with the IAEA in mutually beneficial technical and economic areas.
