EBRD forecasts economic growth in Russia

According to the updated edition of a transition report issued by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for emerging economies, Russia's economic growth will reach 6.2 percent in 2003 against 4.3 percent in 2002. Earlier, the EBRD forecasted a 4.3-percent growth in Russia's economy this year.

The aggregate growth in the 27 countries with emerging economies will make up 4.7 percent this year against 3.8 percent last year.
