Sakhalin oil and gas conference is to take place in London

The 7th annual Gas and Oil of Sakhalin conference is starting in London.

The major representatives of the oil and gas industry from Russia and abroad will participate in the conference, the conference organizers said.

"Considering the development of the "Sakhalin-1" and "Sakhalin-2" projects, this is a very important and exciting time for the Sakhalin region," said Galina Pavlova, the director of the Sakhalin oil-and-gas department.

She said that Russia was going to supply its counterparts with the most accurate information regarding the possibilities of capital investment in Sakhalin.

For that purpose a special Business in Sakhalin masterclass has been organized for potential investors.

The main activities are scheduled for November 18-19.

Another master class on various legal issues of foreign companies' operations in the Sakhalin region, as well as a seminar devoted to technical issues, material security and operation will take place on November 20.
