Delegation of Pacific border guards heads to China

A delegation of the Pacific regional border administration (TORPU) of the Russian Federal Security Service went on a working visit to the Chinese city of Changchun. RIA Novosti was told at the TORPU press service that the delegation was headed by TORPU chief colonel-general Pavel Tarasenko.

During the visit it is planned to discuss the development of cooperation between the border agencies of the two countries, TORPU pointed out.

The sides will sum up the results of the joint work, and determine the promising directions in the joint border protection.

The programme of the visit includes a number of protocol meetings with leaders of the people's government of Jilin province and cultural events.

The visit will last till November 20. A protocol between TORPU of the Russian Federal Security Service and the Jilin provincial military district of the People's Liberation Army of China will be signed on the results of negotiations.
