The public safety protection situation in Tbilisi is considerably worsening due to the political tension in the city, said the head of the Georgian intelligence department Abtandil Dzhorbenadze. He said that all the police are located in the center of the city to defend the public from possible unrest, while other areas of the city are unprotected.
Georgian National Security Secretary Djemal Gakhokidze said that economic crimes are becoming more frequent. Moreover, the political instability has forced investors to stop investing in projects in Georgia.
The Economics, Industrial and Trade Ministry press service told Rosbalt that level of imports of grain have dropped significantly and it is not out of the question that the price of bread will increase. Over the last four days, the exchange rate for the national currency has also dropped.
