US Ambassador praises Russian rail service

US Ambassador to Russia Alexander Vershbow has told President of Russian Railways Gennady Fadeyev that 'there have been improvements in the Russian railway industry.' As the company's press service reported yesterday, Mr Vershbow said 'I travel on Russian trains myself, especially between Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and I have noticed a significant improvement in the standard of service recently.'

Mr Fadeyev and Mr Vershbow met to discuss the results of initial reforms in the Russian railway industry and they also spoke of upcoming reforms. In addition, they discussed how American companies could collaborate with Russian Railways in a mutually beneficial way.
