Kasyanov does not exclude another meeting with Ukrainian Premier on Azov-Kerch issues

At the beginning of 2004 Russian and Ukrainian Prime Ministers will hold a regular session of Intergovernmental Commission on the trade-economic, science-technical and cultural co-operation. This was disclosed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.

According to him, "despite the present tensions the positive relations, which have been formed in the recent years, must develop further." Before the current year expires the both sides must make important decisions concerning the gas consortium, single economic area, trade regimes and other issues, Kasyanov disclosed.

Meanwhile, the Russian Premier does not exclude that the meeting between the two Prime Ministers can be held earlier if they are needed for the solution of the status of the Azov-Kerch water area. Kasyanov believes, "that the problem can be settled and our experts have all the necessary abilities and opportunities for its solution."
