In Bangkok Russia presents unique microsatellite technologies project

The "Russian Day - Presentation of Russian Investment Projects" event has been held in Thailand's capital Bangkok within the framework of the APEC Investment Market.

The Investment Market is regularly held as part of the annual APEC forum.

One sensation is Russia's unique and hitherto unknown product in the field of microsatellite technologies. Professor Viktor Orayevsky, president of the Intergeokosmos Association, based in the town of Troitsk, has shown to Pacific businessmen a system capable of space-based monitoring of natural and man-caused catastrophes, radioactive contamination and other emergency situations.

The system is based on a microsatellite weighing some 100 kilograms. The receiving equipment is truck-mounted. The total cost of the equipment set offered for sale, including the satellite, does not exceed 40 million dollars. Until now, there have been no comparable technologies on the world market.

The Pacific business circles have also paid attention to proposals of the OMZ Corporation (the United Machine-Building Factories), led by Kakha Bendukidze. The OMZ offers for sale drilling platforms, special steels, equipment for energy projects.

The Russian Innovation Concern CHIEF GROUP has been long working in East and Southeast Asia. Among its today's offers is the Ka32A1 helicopter-carried equipment for extinguishing fires in skyscrapers with any number of stories, which is handy for the region with its architecture. The concern also makes diagnostic systems fitting inside cell phones linked to hospital computers located far from the patient.

Businessmen visiting the Investment Market say that Russian proposals for the region become more and more topical for the Asia-Pacific Region economies.
