New special envoy of RF Foreign Ministry arrives in Egypt
RF Foreign Ministry special envoys Andrei Vdovin and Alexander Kalugin have arrived in Egypt.
Mr. Kalugin will take over the responsibilities from Mr. Vdovin as RF Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov's special envoy.
On Saturday, two Russian high-ranking diplomats meet with Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa. They will discuss the ways to stop the escalation of the crisis in the Middle East and to restart the process of peaceful settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict using exclusively political and negotiation methods.
The agenda of the two-day visit also includes meetings of Russian envoys with the Egyptian leadership.
