Nagorno-Karabakh talks to resume after Azerbaijani presidential election in October

New principles for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have not yet been worked out, said Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Tatul Markaryan in a press conference yesterday.

He said that the negotiations for a peaceful settlement to the conflict should resume after the presidential elections in Azerbaijan in October. Then there will be a meeting of the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk group and personal representatives of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the negotiation process for settling the conflict.

Speaking about the visit of the new co-chairman of the Minsk group for settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Russian diplomat Yuri Merzlyakov, Markaryan said that the visit has a getting acquainted character. He said that during the course of the visit Merzlyakov will meet with the high leadership of Armenia.
