US demand that the IAEA take measures to prevent Iran's access to nuclear weapons

The United States intends to demand that the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency should take decisive measures to prevent Iran's access to nuclear weapons. RIA Novosti was told on Monday by a high ranking source in the IAEA secretariat in Vienna.

At the session of the Board of Governors, which opens on Monday and will be held behind closed doors, the head of the American delegation in the IAEA intends to raise this question, explaining his demand that, according to the data of Washington, Teheran is able to create its own nuclear weapons in the course of the next two years.

At its today session, the IAEA Board of Governors will consider the report of the Agency's experts and inspectors who repeatedly visited Iran and prepared a detailed information about the development of atomic energy in that country. The report also says that traces of enriched uranium have been found on special centrifuges imported from Teheran.
