The Guinean Foreign Minister arrives in Moscow on a working visit

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Guinea Francois Fall on Tuesday arrives in Moscow on a working visit. RIA Novosti was told about it in the information and press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During his stay in Moscow, Francois Fall will have talks with Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and will also have meetings in a number of Russian government departments.

As Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov said in the interview gave to RIA Novosti, the two Foreign Ministers will discuss the ways of lowering the tension in Western Africa and cooperation in the economic sphere.

In particular, the discussion will concern the problems of the post-crisis settlement in the countries bordering on Guinea - Sierra Leone, Liberia and the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire.

The development of economic contacts concern cooperation in the sphere of the production of bauxites, the increase of business contacts in the mining industry, geological prospecting, agriculture and fishing.

Alexander Saltanov believes that the Russian firms could take part "in building roads as well as dwelling, administrative, industrial and other infrastructure facilities." The Ministers will also consider the question of training specialists for Guinea in the Russian educational establishments.

Apart from that, they will discuss the drafting of inter-governmental agreements on economic and trade cooperation, on mutual protection of investments, and on double taxing, as well as the treaty on legal aid in civil, family and criminal cases.

The working visit by the Foreign Minister of Guinea is scheduled to last till September 5.
