The nuclear programmes of Israel and its nuclear capability will be on the agenda of the 47th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a source in the IAEA Secretariat in Vienna told RIA Novosti.
This issue, called "Israel's nuclear capability and its threat," will be discussed at one of the plenary sessions of this highest IAEA forum.
The debate on the issue had been requested by Oman and was backed by the Arab League. At a recent meeting of the League it was reported that Israel already has about 300 nuclear warheads.
The Arab League demands in this connection that the IAEA should strictly raise the question of Israel's signing of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.
According to Arab sources, Arab League representatives at the IAEA general conference are going to circulate their results of own studies in printed and electronic versions on Israeli nuclear programs.
