Heidar Aliyev's son becomes Azeri PM

The parliament of Azerbaijan has approved the candidature of Ilkham Aliyev, the son of the aged President of Azerbaijan, Heidar Aliyev, to the post of the Prime Minister of the country.

As many as 101 deputies, out of the 102 who were present at the session, supported this decision. One of the deputies did not vote.

Altogether the Azerbaijan parliament consists of 125 deputies. The opposition did not attend this session.

However, no reports have come up to now about the resignation of Artur Rasi-Zade from the post of the Prime Minister.
