Gazprom, Royal Dutch/Shell and ExxonMobil consider joint project in China

Representatives of Gazprom, Royal Dutch/Shell and ExxonMobil discussed questions concerning cooperation with PetroChina in the project on constructing the West-East gas pipeline in China, the press service of Gazprom reported. The meeting took place on July 24, 2003. The sides considered a number of issues regarding the implementation of the framework agreement on creating a joint venture signed on July 4, 2002.

As reported earlier, the project on laying the West-East gas pipeline envisages the exploration of gas fields in China and the construction and maintenance of a 4,000-kilometer gas pipeline.
