Uruguayan military to drive Russian cars
The Ulyanovsk Automobile plant /UAZ/ has sold 186 UAZ-31512 cars /with tent tops/ and UAZ-31514 cars /with metal tops/ to the Uruguayan Defence Ministry.
The deliveries were performed in compliance with the agreement between the Uruguayan Defence Ministry and Rosobornexport, the plant's press service reported.
The automobiles were sent to Latin America by sea. They are equipped with the Andoria diesel engines /made in Poland/, that are in line with the Euro-2 international standards.
The Uruguayan military were satisfied with technical and exploitation abilities of the UAZ automobiles, the press service pointed out. The Russian plan hopes to continue car deliveries to the country.
