According to results of a sociological survey conducted by the agency Comcon-2 Eurasia, 84% of Kazakhstan's residents think Kazakhstan must unite with Russia.

3.6% voted for unification with the USA, 2% chose China, 0.4% opted for Ukraine, and 0.4% spoke against the unification idea.

Respondents were asked to answer the following question: "What country should Kazakhstan unite with?" The survey also showed that the majority of Kazakhs do not want to unite with their Central Asian neighbours.
