Vice Prime Ministers of Russia and China will discuss bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere

Contacts between Russia and China in the humanitarian sphere will be discussed by the Russian and Chinese Vice Prime Ministers - Valentina Matviyenko and Li Lan Qin - at the third session of the Russian-Chinese Commission for cooperation in education, culture, public health and sports. Press secretary of the Russian Vice-Premier Svetlana Kryshtanovskaya told reporters about it on Wednesday. According to her, the session of the Russian-Chinese commission will take place at the Moscow President Hotel.

One of the themes for discussion will be cooperation between the Chinese Language Centre in Russia and the Russian Language Centre in China, said the press secretary.

Apart from that, Valentina Matviyenko and Li Lan Qin intend to discuss documents that would contribute to the implementation of the plans for opening joint higher educational establishments and cultural centres of the two countries in Moscow and Beijing. It is expected that the third session of the Russian-Chinese commission will also discuss the development of tourism and cooperation between the Olympic Committees and Sports Federations of Russia and China. It is also planned that the creation of a Russian-Chinese working group on mass media within the framework of this commission will be announced at the session.
