President of the Confederation, head of the Swiss federal finance department Kaspar Villiger will visit Russia on July 12-13, confirmed Switzerland's embassy in Moscow on Thursday.
According to the preliminary schedule, Villiger arrives in Moscow on Friday evening, July 12th, said an embassy official.
Early on July 13th he is to leave for Ufa, where Villiger will take part in mourning ceremonies devoted to the funerals of those killed in the Bashkir Airlines' Tu-154 crash in South Germany.
The Russian passenger airliner collided with the cargo Boeing-757 of the international air carrier DHL at 11,000 meters above Bodensee, Germany, on July 2nd. There were 12 crew members and 57 passengers on board the Tu-154, 52 children going for a vacation, accompanied by 5 adults. The Boeing had 2 pilots on board. All of them died.
The crash happened in the control zone of the air traffic control office of the Swiss Skyguide company (Zurich Kloten airport).
The main blame for the collision of the Russian plane and the urgent post delivering Boeing lies on the Skyguide controllers, authoritative experts believe.
