Moscow satisfied with development of Russian-German relations

Russia and Germany are making a significant contribution into the consolidation of the European and international security, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber in Moscow on Wednesday.

The minister expressed satisfaction with the development of Russian-German relations. According to him, joint efforts helped "to considerably increase the level of mutual trust and to boost" relations between the two countries in all spheres. Igor Ivanov stressed that Russian-German relations "are of historic importance for the European and international security".

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, relations between Moscow and Bavaria are "an example" of cooperation between the two countries at an inter-regional level.
