43 bodies of victims of air crash in Germany identified

According to the latest data, 43 out of the 71 victims of the air crash in Germany have been identified, said a spokesman for the Uberlingen police department on the phone on Sunday.

The names of the victims whose bodies have been identified are not been named.

The identification of other bodies is under way. Experts are conducting DNA analysis based on the genetic material taken from the victims' personal belongings, brought by their relatives and from the saliva samples taken from the relatives. The specialists assure they will do their best to complete the expertise as soon as possible.

Early on Monday the Il-76 with bodies of 33 victims on board landed in Ufa. The date of sending other bodies home has not been fixed yet, the police spokesman said, but most probably it will happen after all victims are identified.

Work on the scene of the crash is continuing, search groups continue collecting small airplane fragments and things that were on board the Tu-154 and the Boeing.
