Russian Frontier Guards send over 93 tons of humanitarian cargo to Afghanistan

Russian Frontier Guards on duty on the Tajik-Afghan border have sent over 93 tons of humanitarian cargo to Afghanistan.

As it was disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent by the press-service of the Russian Federal Frontier Guard service in Tajikistan, on Tuesday humanitarian cargo of the FOCUS international organisation was sent through the Tem-rechnoi checkpoint of the Khorog Frontier Guard squad. People of the northern Afghan territories received 85 tons of wheat, 4,400 tons of oil and 4,477 tons of child nutrition.

The Russian Frontier Guard squad at the Farkhor-Kokul checkpoint checked over 40 tons of nitre, the press-service informed.

Checks of people, vehicles and construction cargo are also conducted at the Nizhny Pyandzh checkpoint of the Pyandzh Frontier Guard squad.
